My training

I have been practising massage for over twenty years. I trained in Therapeutic Massage with the College of Holistic Medicine in 1996, after discovering the benefits of massage myself as a client. I have also trained as a Massage Practitioner with Meir Schneider. Meir’s approach combines massage and movement to restore health, vitality and flexibility.

I come from a medical background and instantly loved working in holistic healthcare. I studied at the School of Homeopathy in Devon, qualifying as a professional homeopath in 2002. I practised homeopathy and massage at Neal’s Yard Remedies in Bristol for over ten years. After moving to Devon in 2018 I continued my practice in Bristol and Totnes.

I continue my professional development with regular supervision and attending courses run by the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork and the Massage Training Institute.

Holistic wellbeing

Before training in massage I worked as a musician, teaching and performing in the UK and Germany. Life as a freelance musician resulted in burnout, which opened a whole new chapter in my life. I discovered that my path to wholeness involved healing on all levels  – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – and made my career change into holistic healthcare. I have more recently integrated music back into my life and now enjoy teaching a weekly music session for adults as well as playing locally.

I also work as a gardener alongside my practice. I find gardening deeply beneficial for my own health and wellbeing and enjoy the balance of working with people and the earth.

Spiritual wellbeing

More recently I took a sabbatical from my homeopathy practice to train as a Spiritual Companion with William Bloom and the Spiritual Companions Trust. The experience has deepened my own spiritual connection as well as developing the skills to offer Spiritual Companioning. I now offer this as part of my practice and am planning to run courses and individual sessions.

My experience as both practitioner and client have deepened my appreciation of a holistic approach to health.  With over 25 years experience I bring maturity, empathy and compassion to my practice, and continue to enjoy working with a wide range of people.

In 2024 I trained as a Bereavement Support Volunteer with our local hospice, and am now part of the team offering this service. I also joined the tutor team delivering the 2025 Diploma in Spiritual Coaching, Caregiving and Companioning with the Spiritual Companions Trust.
